Mental health advocates will rally in Albany this afternoon in support of Governor Cuomo’s proposed $200 million to ramp up new community services and support for New Yorkers with serious behavioral and medical conditions.

An estimated 750 mental health advocates are expected from across the state, including over sixteen buses from Long Island, New York City, Western and Central New York, the Southern Tier, and the North Country.

The advocates are calling for support of proposals to reinvest the savings from state and medicaid hospitals to ramp up local community mental health systems.
