Wanted Man Arrested While Trying to Pay Chenango Traffic Ticket

Investigators from New York State Police Troop C arrested Kalief A. Spriel when he appeared at the Town of Chenango Court to take care of a traffic ticket.

The arrest occurred as a result of Troop C being contacted by Troop D with the information that Spriel was wanted on felony charges by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and might be going to the Town of Chenango Court to pay a traffic ticket. When Spriel finally arrived he was arrested without incident in the court's parking lot.

The felony charges against Spriel are:

Criminal possession of stolen property, 4th Degree (class E felony)
Identity theft, 1st Degree (class D felony)
Forgery, 2nd Degree (class D felony)
Falsifying business records, 1st Degree (class E felony)
Grand larceny, 3rd Degree(class D felony)

Spriel was driven to the Cortland/Onondaga county line and turned over to an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office patrol.
