The State Assembly has scheduled a vote on the budget Thursday, after postponing Sunday’s session to this week.

The move allows for aides to finish the last bills in the $131.1 billion state budget. Senate Republicans say they will finish up Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

Even though the budget does not have to be in place until March 31, top lawmakers had hoped to wrap up the vote by the weekend, so that they could enjoy a three week vacation, including the religious holidays.

The Assembly will meet Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m.
