The appeal of the 11-year prison term for Anthony Pacherille, Jr., of Cooperstown, was rejected by an appellate court on Thursday.

Pacherille, who is now 19 years old, was sentenced in 2011 for attempting to murder his high school classmate Wesley Lippitt. Pacherille shot Lippitt in the arm and then turned the gun on himself.

Both teenagers recovered from the gunshot wounds. The Appellate Division, Third Department, ruled that Otsego County Judge Brian Burns showed no bias against Pacherille.

He is currently serving his sentence at the maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility.
