Chenango Sheriff’s Office Reports Local Phone Scam

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office has reported receiving calls related to a local phone scam.

The scam involves calling Chenango County businesses, claiming to be raising funds for the Chenango Sheriff's summer youth camp. The Chenango County Sheriff's Office states that it does NOT conduct phone call fund raisers.

Anyone receiving this call is encouraged to hang up and report the incident to the Sheriff's Office at 607-334-2000, option #1.
