Fans of Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland,' starring Mia Wasikowska as the lead heroine and Johnny Depp as the eccentric Mad Hatter, now have 'Alice in Wonderland 2' to look forward to on May 27, 2016. The sequel will take Alice on another trippy adventure, and this time she could have to deal with the likes of Sacha Baron Cohen.
As previously reported, Sacha Baron Cohen has been working on a James Bond-style spy spoof over at Paramount, and today we're pleased to relay that the project not only has a title, but a director as well. 'Now You See Me' helmer Louis Leterrier has been chosen to tackle this not-so-top-secret and -- judging by the talent involved -- hopefully very hilarious upcoming new job.
The Freddie Mercury biopic is one of those recent projects trapped in development hell. Though funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen of 'Borat' fame was attached to the lead role for some time, he has since dropped out, leaving the project to its likely demise, according to the film's writer.
Sacha Baron Cohen isn’t content to let James Bond have all the spy fun. The actor, comedian and writer has just sold a new script to Paramount — a spy spoof that, if Cohen’s previous work is any indicator, seems to be just as ridiculous as ‘Borat‘ and ‘Bruno.’
