The New York Office of State Parks and Historic Preservation is reminding boaters to be mindful this weekend of potential danger after the recent heavy rains and flooding.

Many areas of new york are experiencing high water levels and fast moving moving rivers and streams, making for potentially dangerous conditions for boaters. Boaters should plan for conditions they may face and avoid bodies of water that may be unsafe. The Office of Parks and the U.S. Coast Guard strongly recommend wearing life jackets.
