A major fundraiser will take place this weekend to help local children and families. The family service association is having their sixth annual golf tournament and Tim O’Connor of the Family Service Association says it’s not a bad thing if you come in last place.

“We have a way of helping out people who haven’t even played golf,” O’Connor said. “We have some competitive, good golf going on but you’re also welcome if you’re not a great golfer. The prize for the last place drawing is equal to the grand prize because it’s about fun and it’s about raising money for the family services association. “

Competitors will have the chance to win $10,000 for a hole-in-one. Tee-time is set for 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the Ouleout Creek Golf Course in Franklin.
