Chenango County Leaders Meet in Afton

Chenango County's village mayors and the city were represented last night at in Afton.

The focus was on concerns among mayors with the state tax cap, health insurance, state retirement costs, shared services and other cost drivers.

On hand to take part were Peter Baynes, executive director of the New York conference of mayors and deputy director Barbara Van Epps.

It’s hoped that the meeting might lead to a creative look at how to create solutions by working together.
