Frostbite typically affects smaller, more exposed areas of your body.

NYSEG emergency planners are closely monitoring the winter storm expected to hit at least part of the state on Wednesday that will last through Thursday afternoon. Strong winds and related tree damage could result in power interruptions. This storm could affect some of the same customers who lost power as a result of destructive winds late last week.

UPDATE 2:05PM: National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touchdown in Metropolitan New York.  A tornado swept through Breezy Point in Queens, N.Y about an hour ago.  Power is out there and damage is being assessed.  A TORNADO WATCH has just been issued for Otsego and Delaware Counties until 10:00PM.  At 2:05PM gusty winds are being reported thr0ughout our listening area.
