State Senators John Bonacic and James Seward, along with Assemblymen Pete Lopez and George Amedore, and numerous local officials from Ulster County, including County Legislature Chairman Terry Bernardo, have filed formal objections to the NYS DEC’s proposed consent order involving the NYC DEP’s release of turbid waters into Ulster County.

Senator James Seward says the proposed consent order does nothing to alleviate concerns. Seward urges the DEC to rethink this action and come up with a solution that protects Ulster County and doesn’t simply bow to New York City.
