Here You Go.  An empty pie crust.  The choice is completely up to you.  Are you a traditional pie person?  Going with an apple or cherry?  Or are you all about the cream pies?  My choice is going to turn out to be an obvious one.  The reason I am writing this blog is because May 8th is National Coconut Cream Pie Day.   But I didn't want to make this all about my favorite because some of you may hate coconut cream.  Please send me a message thru our free app WKXZ and vote for your favorite pie.  I will announce the winner on-air Monday May 10th.

I really don't like my coconut things.  But that all changed when I had it at Christopher's Restaurant in Oneonta.  It then became my go to for Birthdays and Father's Day.  Christopher's was tragically destroyed by fire in 2017.  I liked that place for so many reasons but the pie left an indelible mark on my taste buds.  My son always ordered the Big Bear platter although this Bear was to Big for Aiven's appetite.

I have had a void in my life since 2017.  I will take any and all suggestions so on May 8th 2022 I can properly celebrate National Coconut Cream Pie Day.  I certainly have my favorites but I don't think there is a pie I don't like.  I have to be honest, what the heck is Rhubarb Pie.  I have mentioned it numerous times to try to be funny because in my circles, it is the most out-there pie.  I don't think I have ever actually had one.  With all the great pie choices out there, do I really need a rhubarb pie in my life?
