Raise your hand if you did more binge watching in 2020 than any other year. My hand is raised too! It is a great way to pass the pandemic, especially during the cold Capital Region months. So here are my 4 favorite of 2020 and I'll be looking for more in 2021.

  1. Ozark - If you haven't watched Ozark on Netflix have I got a great way to burn 30-40 hours! The Netflix description of "A financial adviser drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder $500 million in five years to appease a drug boss." just scratches the surface of the twists and turns this series will bring and it's only 3 seasons in. According to What's On Netflix Ozark will return for Season 4 but this will be the last season! The season will be split into two halves. Fourteen final episodes!
  2. Sons of Anarchy - Yeah I know it took me until 2020 to watch S.O.A. for the first time. What a great series. I never felt that it "jumped the shark" and was well written. My favorite character is Otto, played by series creator Kurt Sutter. Sutter is said to have based "Sons" loosely on Shakespeare's Hamlet. Kurt is also married to the lead actress, Katie Segal. Feel like you are part of one bad crew without having the punishment of jail time. Originally carried on FX, today you can see it on Hulu.
  3. The Staircase - Check this out, Novelist Michael Peterson calls 911 to report that his wife had fallen down their staircase. What follows is his arrest and accusation of killing his wife. A film crew documents the story over a 13 year span and created a 13 episode season for Netflix. Did he do it? Is he innocent? Here is one spoiler, this wife isn't the first of his that fell down a staircase and died.
  4. Searching for Sugar Man - Who is Sixto Rodriguez? I can tell you he is an American artist that found great success in South Africa and Australia and then all of a sudden he disappeared. 2 fans set out to see if he is alive or what happened to him. Amazon Prime is one place to search for Sugar Man.
