The Preferred Foundation Now Taking Applications For College Scholarships

The Preferred Foundation, a corporate giving entity of Preferred Mutual Insurance Company, is awarding two college scholarships to local students. The candidate receiving the highest rating will receive $2,500 each year for up to four years. The runner-up will receive $1,000 each year for up to four years. Selection is based on careful review of the application, required documentation of academic performance and activities, and a personal interview by the Foundation Advisory Committee. Current high school senior students who plan to attend an accredited college/university and who attend a school in the Counties of Otsego, Delaware and Chenango in the State of New York and who have an academic standing (GPA) of 95 or higher are eligible.
