It's not always easy to find a fun, family event this time of year but The Farmers' Museum has just the thing to satisfy cabin fever with their Sugaring Off Sundays, every Sunday in March.  Each day starts out with a full pancake breakfast, served from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with all kinds of other activities happening at the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

You can learn all about the process of maple sugaring with demonstrations, take a fun wagon ride, see the farm animals, ride the Empire State Carousel, and of course see all the craftspeople hard at work throughout the Farmers' Museum village.  There's plenty to do and see. My family has enjoyed this event many times in the past.

Plus, since Easter is March 27th which is the final Sugaring Off Sunday event, there will be an egg hunt for kids 12 and under at 1:00 p.m. with eggs hidden throughout the Farmers' Museum grounds.  Whoever finds the golden egg gets a pass for free rides on the Empire State Carousel all season long.
