The State Liquor Authority on Tuesday issued emergency suspensions of liquor licenses for Legends Filling Station on Main St., and Choice Ultra Lounge on Market St. in Oneonta which means effective immediately, no alcohol can be served or consumed at either bar. According to the state liquor authority the licensees have 20 days to respond to the suspensions. Investigators from the Liquor Authority — assisted by state police, SUNY Oneonta University Police and the Oneonta Police Department — conducted compliance inspections over the weekend. At Legends Filling Station, Liquor Authority investigators say the bar was charged with 13 violations, including 11 underage sales, failure to supervise the premises and employing an unlicensed bouncer. While investigators say Choice Ultra Lounge was charged with 14 violations, including 12 underage sales, failure to supervise the premises, and also for failing to offer food, as the establishment is licensed as a restaurant.
