Sock Hop Saturday To Benefit Oneonta Homeless Shelter

Do you love to dance?  Maybe you just want to take a fun stroll down memory lane to the 1950's?  Here's your chance! The First United Methodist Church (66 Chestnut St.) in Oneonta will host a Sock Hop event to benefit the Opportunities For Otsego Homeless shelter as well as the general mission and ministries of FUMC.

The doors open at 5pm with live Sock Hop singers at 6pm.  Admission is only $5 per person.  There will be 1950's style food for sale including burgers, shakes, fries and more.  Also, there will be a silent auction with great products and services from local businesses.

This event is organized by Amethyst Gardner and Girl Scout Troop 30728 as the project for their Girl Scout Silver Awards.
