Members of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, including K-9 “Ozzie”, New York State Police, including two K-9 units and a Drug Recognition Expert, Delhi Village Police, S.U.N.Y. Delhi University Police and Delaware County Probation Department on Friday conducted an Enhanced Traffic Safety Enforcement Campaign in the Delhi area along with probationer compliance checks. The multi-agency enforcement campaign resulted in the arrest of four drivers that were determined to be impaired by the use of drugs and or alcohol - three of whom were also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  Additionally, two Walton residents were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) following a probation search that lead to the discovery and seizure of a quantity of heroin. 28 year old Daniel Jamieson, of Walton, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony.  Jamieson is accused of possessing a quantity of heroin with the intent to sell.  Jamieson was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail pending further court action.  Deputies also arrested and charged 29 year old Heather Terry, also of Walton, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor.  Terry is accused of possessing a quantity of heroin at the time of the search conducted by Delaware County Probation Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies.  Terry was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail pending further court action.
