Oxford Man Arrested in Home Burglary & Vandalism Acts

An arrest is made in a December burglary at a Preston home. Police say 42-year-old Jason Barrows was wanted on felony charges for breaking into the residence and taking several items exceeding $1,000 in value. Barrows was also accused of taking a number of animals from the home and breaking windows on a motor vehicle. Barrows surrendered to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office last Thursday and was booked into jail on $5,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
