Operation Christmas Child is a yearly project that brings joy to many children in desperate situations, around the world. Oneonta’s relay site will be at the Main Street Baptist Church. Collection dates will be from November 14th until the 21st. Participants are asked to fill a shoe box with various items such as toys, school supplies, non-liquid hygiene products, accessories, and crafts. Boxes usually include one medium to large “wow-factor” such as, a stuffed animal, ball with pump, doll, shoes, musical instrument etc. You may also include a personalized note. If you would like to know the destination of your box, you can donate $7 online, and receive a follow-your-box tracking label. Drop off your box, and make a child somewhere around the world very happy this year!
