Norwich Fire Department Recruitment Day a Success

The City of Norwich Fire Department held an open house on Saturday as part of the statewide RecruitNY campaign to get people interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter. The Evening Sun reports as a result of the open house four individuals are beginning the process of becoming volunteers, and one already has completed their paperwork. Norwich fire officials say that the basic training requirement can take approximately 70 hours to complete.
