State Senator James Seward announced final legislative approval Wednesday of a bill he sponsored to increase the amounts of allowable loans under the Emergency Services Loan Fund.

Senator Seward's bill will adjust the loan rates available to account for inflation and help departments with equipment purchases and other necessary upgrades.

The emergency services revolving loan program has resulted in more than $716,400 for seven departments in Delaware County, $713,000 to nine departments in Chenango County and nearly $603,000 dollars to six departments in Otsego County.
