Election Day comes up quick and is an opportunity to have your voice be heard. Tuesday, November 3rd, polling hours in Otsego County for a primary election are noon to 9pm, with general election voting hours from 6am to 9pm.

There are numerous local political seats up for grabs in Chenango, Delaware and Otsego County. Also, voters will be picking replacements for three politicians ousted following corruption convictions. In the Southern Tier, Broome County Undersheriff Fred Akshar, a Republican, faces Democrat Barbara Fiala, a former county Executive and State Motor Vehicles Commissioner. The winner of the special election replaces former Republican Senator Thomas Libous, who was convicted of lying to the FBI. Polls are open today till 9pm.
