Do you have kids who are 11 to 14 and would enjoy going to DEC Environmental Education Camp in the Adirondacks this coming Summer?  Kids can enter an Essay Contest from the The Otsego County Conservation Association for free DEC Camperships (Deadline is January 25).  Campers must be minimum age by December 1, 2016 and reside in Otsego County.  In 750 words or less, they are asked, “Imagine yourself in fifty years: What would you say to your younger self about the value Otsego County’s beautiful land, lakes, and streams?”

OCCA will reward nine winning essayists with a week-long stay at New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Summer Camp, where campers spend their week immersed in the natural environment and enjoy a balance of environmental education, sportsman education, and outdoor fun.
