Cooperstown Mourns Loss

The community continues to mourn the sudden loss of the superintendent of the Cooperstown Central School District. State police say 51-year-old C.J. Hebert died in an ATV accident Sunday near his Richmondville home. Troopers say Hebert was reported missing late Sunday by his wife. His body was found early Monday in a heavily wooded area in Schoharie County about a half mile from Hebert's home. Classes at Cooperstown Central School were canceled Monday, but class is back in session today with crisis counseling available for staff and students.
