State Police in Cobleskill arrested a 42 year old Delhi man Monday for Felony DWI, 12 counts of Felony Leandra’s Law, and 13 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Misdemeanor. Troopers responded to the Gilboa School bus garage after a phone call from a concerned parent whose child was dropped off of the school bus operated by Daniel Mowers. The child had reported to the parent that the bus was being operated erratically.

Troopers say Mowers failed Standardized Field Sobriety tests performed at the bus garage and was placed under arrest for being intoxicated while operating the school bus occupied by 13 total students during his bus run, 12 of which were age appropriate for Leandra’s Law.

Mowers was transported to SP Cobleskill where he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .12%. He was arraigned in the Town of Broome Court with bail set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Gilboa Court on February 25th.
