According to the United States Census, the village of Smyrna is the ninth smallest community in New York, in terms of population.

The census data shows a 2018 population of 220 residents. If you don't know where Smyrna is, it is toward the northern border of Chenango County, just west of Sherburne.

I am originally from Chenango County (shoutout to Greene!), and I always thought that my hometown was small. I guess I was wrong, compared to Smyrna.

A lot of the other communities on the list were from downstate on Long Island.
