Bandai Flames On With Fiery Action Figure Effect Stands

Get ready to play with fire. This September Bandai will expand its Tamashii Nations Effect Impact line to include sprawling sets of both blue and red plastic "flame" for any fiery action figure display need.

Standing about 5.5" tall at their highest point, both the red and blue flame effect sets retail for $21.99 on sites like Entertainment Earth and other online collectible shops.

Constructed from translucent plastic, these articulated flame sets can be configured as a single unit or be scattered to achieve whatever a given display scenario calls for -- particularly Bandai's S.H. Figuarts figures and other action figure lines at around 1/12 scale. Just like the gray and beige “Impact” bases set to debut this month, these sets can be mixed and matched however a collector decides. More sets means more seamless plastic fire.

While these flame effect sets could suit pretty much any figure, they'd be especially handy for upcoming toys like the Arkham City Firefly from DC Collectibles, McFarlane Toys's Charred The Walking Dead zombie, Ultraman Zero's buddy Glenfire, Tiger and Bunny's Fire Emblem, and just about any Dragon Ball Z S.H. Figuarts figure. Hasbro's many Ghost Rider and Human Torch figures probably wouldn't mind the augmentation on a shelf either.
