The Tall Trees: Americana-Roots Music At Oxford’s 6 On The Square

This Friday, January 17th, 6OTS in Oxford will present "The Tall Trees," Tim Grimm and Ben Bedford, two highly acclaimed songwriters, accompanied by talented fiddler Deidrick van Wassenaer.

Based in tradition, Grimm's music and lyrics straddle the line between Americana and Country and each of his past 5 recordings have hit the top of the Folk or American-roots charts. He also appeared with Harrison Ford in the film "Clear and Present Danger." Among his many honors was being named 2004 Male Artist of the Year by the Freeform American Roots DJs.

Ben Bedford has played for audiences all over the country, including at the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as well as completing three European concert tours.  With three albums to his credit, Bedford's songs tackle such scenarios as homelessness, the plight of a Confederate soldier's wife during the Civil War and the triumphs of Amelia Earhart.
