Do you need another sign that we are in the spring season?  Maybe you do after the recent snowfall.  The Community Foundation for South Central New York has announced their 2021 Spring Grants.  This Johnson City Based Foundation helps out non-profits in five Counties but let's focus on Chenango County.

Starting with the well known Earlville Opera House, they were handed $20,000 to be applied to the general operating and Technology Outreach Coordinator.  The Preservation League of NYS will put their $8,000 grant towards capacity building workshops for historic site directors.  The Memory Maker Project now has a little over 5-grand for a weekly art program for adults 65 plus.  $5,000 is being distributed to support a donor management system upgrade at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.  The Youth Philanthropy Council at The Place-Norwich received the support of a $5,000 grant.  Another 5-grand goes to Rural Health Network of South Central New York to be applied towards their Rural Food Retail Initiative.

Summer Savoyards was granted $2,500 to help fund their 60th anniversary virtual program.  Just under that amount, $2,369, will be used for CPR Manikins, AED Trainer and Smart TV at the Family Enrichment Network.  Some computer upgrades coming to New Berlin Historical Museum and Library thanks to a $1,000 grant.  Finally, the Chenango County Council of the Arts will pull in 8-hundred to assist in the purchasing of video equipment and boom mic.
