In honor of Veterans Day, Vice President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and more of the country's top officials attended a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia on Tuesday morning.

The vice president laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns and gave a brief speech. The ceremony then continued, according the to Department of Veterans Administration, "inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by veterans' organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces."
