Three Men Arrested and Charged with Drug Possession in Norwich Late Wednesday

The Norwich Police Department executed a no knock search warrant at 8 Pleasant Street last night around 9 p.m.
Police forced entry into the residence and met little resistance from the occupants. Police seized a substantial amount of heroin, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and U.S. Currency.
Arrested were Scott L. Lavoie, 23, of Norwich, Michael A. Balarezo-Bravo, 21, of Utica, and Tryquan A. Robinson, 20, also of Utica.
Lavoie was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, a felony; criminal nuisance 1st degree, a felony; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree, a misdemeanor. The two Utica men were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, a felony, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree and loitering 1st degree, both misdemeanors.
The three will be arraigned in Norwich city court today. The Norwich Police Department was assisted at the scene by Chenango County sheriff’s office detectives.
