DELHI, NY (readMedia) - According to U.S. News and World Report, SUNY Delhi ranks number one in the nation among the hundreds of colleges and universities offering bachelor's programs online.

SUNY Delhi was rated for the 2014 edition of the Best Online Bachelor's Programs rankings based on student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, and student services and technology.

"We are thrilled to be recognized for our innovation and comprehensive approaches to online learning," said SUNY Delhi President Candace S. Vancko.

Delhi's first online baccalaureate offering, the RN to BSN was launched in 2008 and has grown steadily, enrolling 745 students this spring. Delhi has been commended by accrediting agencies for the program's curricular design and quality of instruction, and its strong academic support, particularly in the areas of advisement and technology.

As a continuation of Delhi's growth strategies, the college has expanded its online options to include a fully online baccalaureate degree program in Criminal Justice, the first online Criminal Justice Bachelor of Science degree to be introduced within the State University of New York, and summer school courses that serve over 1,000 students annually.

"Congratulations to President Vancko and all of the faculty and staff at SUNY Delhi who contributed to this outstanding recognition as the top destination nationally for online bachelor's degree programs," said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher.
