SUNY Delhi captured fourth place in the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America's (GCSAA) Collegiate Turf Bowl Competition in Orlando on Feb. 9, the best finish in the history of SUNY Delhi's turf management program.

The Turf Bowl team competed against 57 teams from 36 schools around the country, including large institutions like Penn State, Michigan State and Purdue University. This year's results build on an 11th place finish last year and a 32nd place finish in 2015.

The Turf Bowl features a written case study and a test covering agronomic, business, and financial management aspects of the turf superintendent profession. A total of $10,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to the top 10 teams.
