Sandy Did Not Affect 2013 State Budget Deficit

Early last month Governor Andrew Cuomo predicted that Superstorm Sandy would double the state deficit in next year’s budget.

Monday, he said the deficit will not be affected and will stay at $1 billion.

He said that there has been no sign of stress in any of the periodic reports showing sales and income tax collection.
