The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announced it is observing National Correctional Officers and Employees Week which runs from now through May 12. The observance was created by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 to recognize “the contributions of correctional officers to our Nation.”  According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office facebook page, Sheriff Richard Devlin says he is extremely proud of the work and dedication of the Correctional Officers and Employees and asks the community that if they see a correctional employee thank them for the hard work they do under demanding circumstances.
