A Public Meeting on the topic of Oneonta’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative will be held tonight (Feb. 15th) at 7:00 pm in the Foothills Performing Arts Center Atrium. Members of the community are encouraged to attend to see proposed plans and share ideas.

The current plan includes the construction of 3 or possibly 4 new buildings in Downtown Oneonta that would contain retail space and over 100 apartments for non-students.  To make room for these new structures, parking would have to be removed from the parking garage and the Westcott parking lot (behind Ruffino's).  There is also a plan to build a Food and Beverage Innovation Center on the corner of Chestnut and Market Streets.

Up to date information on proposed projects for Oneonta’s downtown will be presented by Stantec Urban Planners, Otsego Now, and the Local Planning Committee. The public will be provided with opportunities to express their ideas for Oneonta’s downtown.
