On Thursday April 3rd, the Oneonta Police Department arrested Adam G. Scully, 24, years of age of Oneonta on a felony drug charge.

He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, a Class D felony carrying a maximum sentence of seven years. He was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a  misdemeanor.

Scully was arraigned in the City of Oneonta Court and sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility. He will appear in court at a later date.

Later the same day,  Oneonta PD arrested Ray Arnold, 22,  of Oneonta, also on drug charges. Police say that this investigation yielded 11 bags of heroin packaged for sale with a street value of about $250.

Arnold has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, a Class B felony carrying a maximum sentence of nine years.

Also arrested was Cody Clapper, 25, of Oneonta, for conspiracy in the 4th degree, a Class E felony with a maximum sentence of four years. He was also charged with two misdemeanors: criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Arnold and Clapper were arraigned in the City of Oneonta Court and sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility pending a future court appearance.

All three of the arrests were the result of a cooperative effort between the Oneonta Police Department, the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Parole Enforcement Division.
