Notch, the creator of Minecraft, has flexed his financial muscles by breaking a record and buying a $70 million house in Beverly Hills. #swag.

The John Arroe Group sold the mansion to the Swedish game developer and posted a release about it on the company's blog. The sale was brokered by Sally Forster Jones and Katia De Los Reyes and stands as the most expensive sale every made for a Beverly Hills home.

Included with Notch's purchase are luxury furnishings, an infinity pool and cases of Dom Perignon. Notch will be living the Swede life indeed. If he really wanted to throw his money around, this was the way to do it. De Los Reyes said, “Marcus fell in love with the house, its sleek contemporary design and its spectacular panoramic views that sweep from downtown LA to the Pacific Ocean. The fact that the house also was completely furnished in such great style was another major selling point for him.”

Here are just a few of the things Notch can look forward to seeing in his new home:

  • Vodka and tequila bars.
  • A candy room.
  • An 18-seat, tiered screening room.
  • A state-of-the-art kitchen.
  • An 18-foot onyx dining room table for 24 that includes place settings by Roberto Cavalli worth $3,700 each.
  • Three high-definition 90-inch TV screens that "bring panoramic views of Los Angeles from the roof into the down stairs lounge."
  • A replica of James Dean's motorcycles.
  • A chromed Ma Deuce machine gun.
  • Eight bedrooms and 15 bathrooms equipped with Toto Neorest toilets, valued at $5.600 each.
In other words, it's like Notch spammed the "rosebud" cheat into The Sims and now has the swankiest mansion around. Good on him.
