Norwich-Oxford Little League Expands Its Boundaries
The Norwich-Oxford Little League was recently approved by Little League International to expand its boundaries to include baseball and softball players within Chenango County from the following school districts: Otselic Valley, Unadilla Valley, Sherburne, Greene, and Bainbridge-Guilford.
Norwich-Oxford Little League has officially chartered with Little League for over 40 years. Last season over two hundred boys and girls had the chance to participate.
The Norwich-Oxford Little League is now accepting registrations online. They will also have two document verification and in-person registration days on February 25th at the Oxford Middle School Cafeteria from 6-8 pm, and February 26 & March 4th at the Norwich Family YMCA from 6-8 pm.
The 2014 opening ceremony & parade will held on April 26th. The season will run until end of June, and continue through the tournament season. This year Little League International will celebrate its 75th anniversary.
Norwich-Oxford is in need of umpires and advocates from each of the new communities within the expanded boundaries.
