My friend Katha from the Chenango County WIC office asked if I could pass on a few words about the program, and as she did wayyyy more work on our group project for our Advertising class than I did, I thought it would only be fair if I did pass on a couple of notes.

First, WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides food and services to women, infants and children. Those eligible include pregnant women, mothers of babies up to 6 months old, mothers breastfeeding babies up to 12 months old, and infants and children up to their 5th birthday.

WIC is an income based program, so if you or your child receives Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF you are automatically eligible. For more information call the Chenango County WIC office at 336-4324.

One more thing, there will be a fish fry and bake sale this Friday, May 16th to benefit Boy Scout Troop 62. It will be held from 11-6 at the Norwich Fire Station.
