New York State’s finest foods will be on display in Washington this week.

The New York Farm Day is designed to remind Capitol Hill that the Empire State is a big agricultural state.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is the host of the event that will include New York’s farm-fresh foods, wines and spirits, seafood and other products.

The event has been going on since 2002 and remains popular with Washington’s lawmakers.

It’s sponsored by the New York Farm Bureau, the Apple Association and New York’s Wine and Grape Foundation.
