Move over, 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy.' Warner Bros. tests its might by announcing a new, live-action digital series based on Mortal Kombat X.

Polygon reports that Warner Bros. will be making a digital series made "in association" with Mortal Kombat X. While 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' has had two seasons of fatalities (it even has Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa returning as Shang Tsung), and has its third season on the way, this new series is likely to help bridge the 25-year-long gap between MK9 and MKX. Warner Bros. claims this series will "feature some of the franchise's most iconic characters as well as a new generation of fighters," which alludes to the newer characters of MKX, such as Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Kotal Kahn, Terra and Torr.

Mortal Kombat X will launch on Apr. 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Reptile is going to be in this one. Shh, it's a secret.
