When was the last time you saw a 100 dollar bill?  I hadn't realized just how long it had been for me until a friend of mine whipped one out to pay for something recently.  Let's face it, depending on where you're spending your money, it can be challenging to get change back on a $100 bill.  They just aren't convenient.  You're not going to use a $100 to pay for a cup of coffee or a sandwich at the local deli.  You might use that bigger bill for bigger purchases and most of us don't have need for that very often.  You get the point.

Because I hadn't seen a 100 in so long, I was fairly wowed by the latest edition of the bill which came out last year.  Talk about security features!  Since the 100 dollar bill is the most counterfeited bill in American currency, the government invested in outwitting those who would try with this latest incarnation.  The most noticeable and impressive security feature is a blue, three-dimensional ribbon that's woven into the note's fabric.  How cool is that! I must say that pictures of the bill don't do it justice.  Feeling is believing.  I just might have to see if I can get one of these 100 dollar bills for myself.  The trick is not spending it!
