Jake T. Austin on Justin Bieber: ‘People Need to Leave Him Alone’

Sorry, Kim Kardashian. Justin Bieber might have actually broken the internet with his new Calvin Klein ads. Since the whole world is buzzing about JB's provocative photos, we weren't surprised that Jake T. Austin was asked about the singer during a recent interview.

While many are quick to pass judgement on the Biebs, the actor isn't one of them. Jake spoke highly of the 'Home to Mama' singer -- who famously dated his 'Wizards of Waverly Place' co-star Selena Gomez.

"You know, people need to leave [Justin] alone because we’re the same age," Jake told TheDishh. "I don’t know if we’re the same age up here [points to head] but he’s a good friend of mine and when he started dating Selena, that’s like my sister. So I was kinda overseeing [who she was into] and he came into the picture and I respected him because he’s a man."

Jake continued, "People look at him like he’s a little boy, but he’s a man. He handles himself, he takes care of his family, he loves his fans. He just doesn’t make 100 percent of the best decisions 100 percent of the time. You need to take the good with the bad, but he needs to make more music, period. If he made more music, and it’s amazing I feel all the negative press would be overshadowed."

We completely agree with Jake's sentiment. Luckily, JB is rumored to be hitting the studio with famed producer Rick Rubin. New Justin music in 2015? We hope so!
