Eligible men praying for a shot with Hilary Duff: You're going to have to count on a bit of serendipity—the actress and singer is no longer on Tinder.

Duff, who created the video for "Sparks" around her digital dating adventures, told LGBTQ news site PrideSource yesterday (July 1) she has no regrets for signing up for the app, but that an online-success story simply isn't in the cards for her.

"It was really fun for me for a minute; I wanted to experience something totally normal and also shock people," she said. "[It] showed a side of me that's really real, really normal. I strive for normalcy in my life every day."

And, as Duff says it's a constant battle for her to feel free, she said she admires the culture encompassing gay app Grindr, especially amid the Supreme Court of the United States' ruling that marriage cannot be denied to same-sex couples.

"You know what's crazy is, I feel like you guys hook up a lot more freely," she offered. "I don't know if that's just me because I'm a little more cautious, I guess. I don't know what it's like to be a totally normal girl who doesn't give a f--- about anything."

Her dilemma considered, she shared she admires one particular pop star who's able to let loose while still in the spotlight.

"This industry is a tough one to crack, but then I look at someone like Miley [Cyrus], and as crazy as people might think the whole thing is, I commend her," Duff noted. "She's so wholeheartedly being herself and is unapologetic about that and she's doing a great job."

And though she predicts she'll always be tied to her Lizzie McGuire persona, Duff said she's learned how to grow independently of the Disney character. But how does she think her character would have evolved?

"I feel like she'd be cool —she wasn't always a nerd!" Duff insisted. "She was just, like, a nice girl. I feel like she'd still be that same way, but I think she would be getting drunk and doing normal things that everybody does."
