Governor Cuomo Signed 59 Laws Into Effect Last Week

Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed 59 out of the 71 bills placed on his desk last week. Most of the bills were of local impact. One bill prohibits smoking at playgrounds, another provides for the mapping of breast cancer cases in the state. A bill co-sponsored by Senator Libous an Assemblyman Crouch will extend the authorization of Chenango County to impose an additional one percent of sales and compensating use taxes.
