The Red Hood arrives Punisher-style to do what the Caped Crusader can't in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Warning: Batman comic spoilers below

Batman News reports that the Red Hood Story Pack will be a part of Batman: Arkham Knight's GameStop pre-order bonus. For those who didn't know, the Red Hood was one of the original criminal aliases of the Joker prior to becoming the Clown Prince of Crime. In a more recent Batman story, a vigilante appeared in Gotham with high-tech weaponry, advanced combat training and a penchant for putting bullets into the brains of criminals. This all boiled down to the Red Hood being revealed to be Jason Todd, the second Robin who was killed by the Joker in the monumental 1988 comic, Batman: A Death in the Family. He was resurrected using Ra's Al Ghul's Lazarus Pit and returned as the Red Hood, who waged a bullet-filled one-man-war against the criminals of Gotham.

We will likely get more official Arkham Knight news later this week from San Diego Comic-Con (hopefully with a release date and more gameplay footage).

Yesterday, GameStop Tweeted the following post, which confirms that the authenticity of the leaked banner for the Red Hood's exclusive content. Commissioner Gordon will hit the signal for Batman: Arkham Knight to debut sometime in early 2015 for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
