After a night of hard rain last Saturday night, The Susquehanna Animal Shelter in Cooperstown discovered 2 inches of water Sunday morning in one of their buildings according to shelter Director Stacie Haynes.  The heavy rain also washed away a nearby creek bank on the shelter's property.

No animals were hurt according to shelter officials but there was thousands of dollars in damage and donations are being accepted to pay for repairs to the creek bank.
