Assemblyman Cliff Couch announced Friday that the village of Greene will receive $1.3 million in funding from FEMA's hazard mitigation grant program.

The funding will support the elevation of 13 residential properties that were damaged during tropical storm Lee. The properties were deemed eligible due to the continuing risk of future flooding.

Assemblyman Crouch says Greene is among many towns in his district that are susceptible to future flooding, and the FEMA funding will improve and protect our properties and communities from future natural disasters.
